Many websites and online businesses have resorted to sending promotional materials to people who have subscribed to them in an effort to boost their sales or traffic.  Yesterday was webinar day for the “HUNDRED DAY CHALLENGERS”  every Thursday at 9pm EST these guys roll out a one (?) hour webinar, they aim to deliver great learnings to members of the challenge, and they do. The Thursday webinar of this week was exceptional as if we didn’t have enough with them, they bought out PERIG VENNETIER, this is how big Perig is, I just googled his Christian name because I wanted to check the spelling of his surname. Do you know, his Christian name is number 1 on google.

Perig is an outstanding leader of people, he is the type of guy you just want to work with, he oozes information. Jordan and Adam invited Perig to deliver some training on: The Product Launch Leverage – SEO Blueprint is about what I discovered in the SEO world in the past 3 years and how to use it to promote other people products/services/events launches as an affiliate.

This training program developed by Perig and yesterday presented to Challenge members by Perig. The information in this program is awesome answering all those questions you wanted to ask, but avoided it. GUESS WHAT? Shortly I will be allowing some of my team leaders access to this program, it is incredibly cheap for what it is and if you don’t gain massive knowledge from it get in contact with me.

• 45% of preteens and 30% of teens are cyber bullied while at school.

Cyberbullying refers to bullying through information and communication technologies, mediums such as mobile phone text messages, emails, phone calls, internet chat rooms, instant messaging – and the latest trend – social networking websites such as MySpace, Facebook and Bebo.

Cyberbullying is a fast growing trend that experts believe is more harmful than typical schoolyard bullying. Nearly all of us can be contacted 24/7 via the internet or our mobile phones. Victims can be reached anytime and anyplace. For many children, home is no longer a refuge from the bullies. “Children can escape threats and abuse in the classroom, only to find text messages and emails from the same tormentors when they arrive home.” “There’s no safe place anymore. You can be bullied 24/7…even in the privacy of your own bedroom.”

1. Recent surveys have shown that one-third of teenagers have had mean, threatening or embarrassing things said about them online

2.  10 percent of teenagers were threatened online with physical harm. 16 percent of teenagers who were victims told no one about it

3. Online social networking sites have become increasingly popular with children, especially young teens,as a place where they can meet other people, communicate, and exchange information.
4. No type of bullying is harmless. In some cases, it can constitute criminal behaviour. In extreme incidents, cyberbullying has led teenagers to suicide. Most victims, however, suffer shame, embarrassment, anger, depression and withdrawal. 
5. Cyberbullying is often seen as anonymous, and the nature of the internet allows it to spread quickly to hundreds and thousands of people. “Cyberbullying has the same insidious effects as any kind of bullying, turning children away from school, friendships, and in tragic instances, life itself.”
6. Parents often tell their children to turn off the mobile phones or stay off the computer. Many parents don’t understand that the internet and mobile phone act as a social lifeline for teenagers to their peer group. Victims often don’t tell their parents because they think their parents will only make the problem worse, or – that they might even confiscate their mobile phone or take away their internet access – removing that social lifeline. While bullying is something that is often ‘under the radar’ of adults, cyberbullying is even more so. Teenagers are increasingly communicating in ways that are often unknown by adults and away from their supervision. They organise their social lives through these mediums. Their friendships are made and broken over these mediums. “The challenge is in raising awareness to such a level that people – victims and witnesses – will feel comfortable enough to speak up.”
7. ‘So what can we do about it?’ many people wonder. Education and awareness is the key. Parents and teachers need to understand the problem, and understand the technology. In an age of influences such as reality TV programmes, where participants are harassed and ridiculed, children need to understand that this is not the way they should relate to each other. If awareness of these issues is raised to such a level among their parents, teachers and friends, children will begin to feel that they can talk about cyberbullying, and the problem will come out of the mobile phone inboxes, out of the computers and into the open.“A third of those who experience cyberbullying do not report it. If we are to succeed in preventing bullying, we need to break the climate of silence in which it thrives by empowering children and young people to speak out and seek help.”

No doubt you will agree, these statistics are alarming, while my kids are grown up, it still concerns me, suicide in Australia is at a totally unacceptable level, are we doing enough to protect young people, on making that comment it is not only younger people affected, the rate of Work Place Bullying is also critical. Can we set up an International organisation of say “ERADICATION OF WORLD BULLYING” a vote of confidence for those that want change, lobby politicians, schools, workplace management, let time help us create change, surely we cannot idly watch as part of our next generation is being bullied and in many cases taking their own lives.

How are you at writing those really good posts, how many can you write a day, or maybe a week? 

Don’t beat yourself up, you don’t have to write that perfect blog, you just need a blog that people want to read, maybe some great tips, some great pics and maybe that little comment that puts a smile on the readers face. I don’t think I am perfect by any means, but I think I can write a blog for the layman, the man in the street (sorry I am not sexist) try and put your self in the position of the reader. Don’t ramble on, try to get to the point. Don’t write outside your comfort zone, readers can pick it. Pick a new problem.  Define the problem. Be the first to propose a solution. The problem should be simple and concrete. This is the best way to get highly cited and become famous.Try to explain something significant nobody has managed to explain.Improve by at least an order of magnitude  that posted on your most recent.

A good paper should not contain:  Weak unnecessary results: if you derived ten theorems but only one is necessary, throw the rest of them in your drawers. I do not want to know about useless results!  It should not contain Technical details: technical papers made of several small ideas are usually not interesting.

Successful bloggers have to keep their heads around many different aspects of the medium – but at it’s core is being able to write compelling and engaging content on a consistent basis over time.

How you do this will vary from blogger to blogger to some extent as each blogger has their own style – however there are some basic principles of writing great blog content that might be worth keeping in mind.

Email spam, also known as junk email or unsolicited bulk email

How you feel, going to your letter box and finding mail scattered in the street and your front garden, some may feel they already do, but by comparison I think not.

These spammers or junk mail couriers could be wealthy people if they put all their energies into developing a network plan, then seek through a reputable organisation to purchase some leads, there is an abundance of honest people out there, and abundance of ways in which you can capture leads.

The next direction you may find valuable, is get to know your customer, show your face, you would be amazed at the response you may get. One of my policies is, and I stick by it is, if you have not made an effort to communicate with me and give me that feeling of trust, I dont want to know you so off to the spam folder.  Like wise with my blog, there is nothing I like to see more than a “nice post” response, but I get so angry that some has the time of day and the inclination to write a whole lot of vitriol about someone they have never made the effort to know.

Spammers collect email addresses from chatrooms, websites, customer lists, newsgroups, and viruses which harvest users’ address books, and are sold to other spammers. They also use a practice known as “email appending” or “epending” in which they use known information about their target (such as a postal address) to search for the target’s email address. Much of spam is sent to invalid email addresses. Spam averages 78% of all email sent. According to the Message Anti-Abuse Working Group, the amount of spam email was between 88–92% of email messages sent in the first half of 2010.

However is some help out there! Not fool proof but helps.

The Junk E-mail Filter in Outlook is turned on by default, and the protection level is set to Low. This level is designed to catch only the most obvious junk e-mail messages. You can make the filter more aggressive, but if you do it may catch legitimate messages sometimes. Any message that is caught by the Junk E-mail Filter is moved to a special Junk E-mail folder. You should your junk mail folder  from time to time to make sure that they are not legitimate messages that you want to see.

So many networkers out there will send an initial email, and then make contact, you know you are dealing with, you get to know exactly what this person is promoting, it gives you the opportunity to say “yes” or “no thanks” and most good good citizens will abide by that.

You will never make it alone, help is at your finger tips!

BVD, MLSP  and JEUNESSE

       No matter what area of business you are in, don’t be fooled you cannot make it alone, having been engaged in Internet Marketing for many yours, I have learnt the hard way. One of the greatest examples is My Leadership Pro (MLSP). I have been involved with MLSP for a couple of years now and have been encouraged by the fantastic people within that organisation who not only offer support, they hold your hand and walk you through training, a plethora of training programs are accessible in MLSP’s back office once you are a member, you can join up for under $10, and once you have joined you will have a great advantage of working with  Adam Chandler and Jordan Schultz are a couple of awesome guys who have developed a number of 100 day challenges which you sign up to, they will basically walk you through the business of Network Marketing.
